Spring tour 09

What we did for each concert every night during spring tour:
We had almost the same concert program, which means we sing the same songs and the songs are preceded by two Bible passages read by different girls in our choir. Our theme this year is PEACE. It's the peace that only God can give us, not the peace that the world gives. We have a section of songs in the middle of our program that narrates Christ's birth, death, and resurrection.

I was really encouraged by how God spoke to me through those Bible verses and the song lyrics.
Here are the verses:
John 14:23-27 Phil 4:4-7 Rev 22:1-5 John 1:9-14 2 Cor 12:7b-10 Heb 4:14-16 Lamentations 3:19-24 Romans 15:5-7, 13

Even though we sang the same songs every night and listen to the same Bible verses being read, I was not bored. It actually helps me to understand them better and really grasp the grace of God in my life and the power of the cross. It's not just something we say over and over again, but it's God Word, it's truth, and it is powerful. God's word is really living and active and it was really cool for me to experience that through the concerts.
